As it is, we currently have black text on a dark background, which makes it almost impossible to see equations or variables, and which makes it necessary to switch to the light theme.205 votes
On November 14th Firefox 57 will be released. Starting at Firefox 57 all Firefox extensions that aren't so called WebExtensions will not function anymore. Since WikiWand is incredibly amazing, it would be great if it continues to function on Firefox after Nov. 14th.
Thanks in advance lovely humans.100 votes
The latest version constantly logs output in to the chrome developer console. It should never print anything in to the chrome console unless explicitly in development mode. For web developers it's just filling up the console with messages on every single site. This needs to be turned off now.71 votes
Fixed in version 8.2.7
Electrolysis is an upcoming multi-process feature of Firefox that is going soon to be standard: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Electrolysis
Currently Wikiwand addon is marked by "Add-on compatibility Reporter" as "multiprocess incompatible" (see also list at https://arewee10syet.com/). Please imrove it soon to support this feature because single incompatible addon turn E10s off and E10s gives a great boost performance on machines with enough RAM because of better parallelism, less locks.61 votes
We’ve fixed this error, sorry guys.
It was caused due to an OpenSSL configuration problem while communicating with the Wikipedia servers. Should be working fine now, sorry again.
I'm working as a web-developer, and this message hurts my work experience, because it's always distracts from actual console messages.56 votes
Comments are a totally unnecessary bloat feature. It will destroy the UX as it adds nothing to the experience one looks for when visiting wikipedia. What people think about wikipedia articles is irrelevant. If there is a factual inaccuracy they can update the article otherwise what else is there to say?44 votes
Please add an option or permanently alter the site/extension so that pages are served securely over HTTPS.
You should consider making it harder for government or private entities to intercept, track and profile the browsing history of people trying to educate themselves, which can be a major concern for visitors from some less democratic countries.
Thank you.39 votes
HTTPS is now enabled in Wikiwand – you can browser to any article using HTTPS!
Chrome Extension users are automatically redirected to read the article using HTTPS when arriving from an HTTPS website (such as Google Search).

It would be great to keep track of things I have read over time and to explore them further when one wants.
Clicking through hyperlinks we traverse a path of knowledge that can be of great use to others exploring similar topics over time.32 votes
We recently introduced a bookmark feature. Check out the “Bookmarks” icon in the toolbar.
I cannot comprehend why you won't let people just browse wikipedia through your site without installing any extensions.
At first I thought this was because you wanted to save bandwidth, but clearly not; your extension still serves me your page.
I have to wonder whether this mandatory extension is part of some monetization strategy you have in mind.28 votes
Show pop-ups of citations by placing the mouse over the third-bracketed numbers (instead of clicking on them)
Also, there is another VERY disturbing problem which needs to be FIXED. If there are two citations for the same statement, say and , I CAN click on , and THEN to see pop-ups for each of them, but I CANNOT see the pop-up of AFTER THAT again simply by clicking on it. Instead, I have to FIRST CLOSE the pop-up for the second citation, and THEN click on to see its pop-up.27 votes
Glad to report the popup behavior is now fixed.
It's so distracting, this is NOT why I use Wikiwand24 votes
When press back from wikiwand, it goes back to original wiki then redirect to wikiwand. Infinite loop. I should do double jump to get back original page.
When redirect from wikipedia, please remove wikipedia from history.23 votes
This has been a bug in our Firefox extension.
We’ve just released a new version of our Firefox extension that solves this bug.
Please remove your existing Wikiwand addon from Firefox and install the latest version here:
Thanks for your feedback, we’ve significantly improved the readability of colorful tables in dark theme
The new social, 'share' and 'news' features distract from the articles - if I was to share something on Twitter, FB or otherwise, I would use other means.19 votes
We have recently disabled the news feature in article pages.
We still keep the “share” button for articles, though, since many users use it and it’s widely common in any modern app.
What happened to the button to print an article? I saw it, but now its gone. The button to make a PDF-file vanished too.17 votes
On any article, please click the Wikiwand logo → “Download / Print PDF”
As you can see it is so light that it blends in with the cell.15 votes
Although not very popular, I'm someone who actually uses the Talk Pages to gain more information on an article, which btw is one of the best hidden secrets on the web. Also, I sometimes use the History page for further context. I'd like to see an option to display links to both the Talk & History pages, instead of having to revert to the old wiki style in order to access them.14 votes
We’re glad to announce that Talk and History pages, as well as other functions, are now available through the new “W” icon in the toolbar.
