Safari: Ctrl/Cmd+Click opens Wikiwand in a new tab AND current tab

Same as Firefox.
Using WikiWand in Safari on an MacBook, if I cmd-click to open an Wikipedia link in a new tab, WikiWand does this but ALSO opens the link in the current tab half a second later.

Just discovered this extension, and I love it. But I will probably end up uninstalling it because of this bug. This is a big deal!

        I'm using Safari.

Are you going to fix it? It's really annoying and I'm often fighting with problem: have a great Wikipedia interface and deal with this issue or remove Wikiwand. Really, sometimes I want a simple thing: open a few Wikipedia tabs. Hold CTRL, click... Nope. It's a shame that such bug destroys enjoyment from a great GUI.

Also just noticed that trying to open an article in a new tab using middle click from a Wikiwand window it opens it in the same tab

This also does it when using middle click to open new tab
