Render math with MathJax
like the Chrome extension "Wikipedia with MathJax". It replaces the images with the LaTeX and lets the MathJax script render it. Way better typography with correct baselines and scaling so that it prints well too.

wikiward does not work with

maybe just remove the display:none style attribute from the mathml

I would really like to have optional support for native MathML as you can get it with an addon for Firefox and the normal Wikipedia.

MathJax is great. I support this suggestion. But please leave a toggle button, let users decide to use MathJax or not. As far as I know, MathJax is not convenient for copying math formula into other software such as mathtype. For this purpose, old png view is actually the best.

I'd use Wikiwand just because it looks better, but unfortunately I tend to read many pages with LaTeX, and they look worse in Wikiwand than they do on Wikipedia.

I would suggest using KaTex instead of MathJax.
It has better performances and is lighter.
You can find it here.

In case of "old fashioned" users, use of MathJax should be optional, like in the original wiki.
