Improve the warning "needs additional citations" to catch attention the same way the one belonging in Wikipedia..
I've been using Wikiwand for more than an year and love this wonderful and very well designed resource.
But only today I noticed a disturbing design flaw IMO.
I was reading an article titled "Fuel Gauge" and there's a section where is written:
"However, this system has a potential risk associated with it. An electric current is sent through the variable resistor to which a float is connected, so that the value of resistance depends on the fuel level.
In most automotive fuel gauges such resistors are on the inward side of the gauge, i.e., inside the fuel tank. Sending current through such a resistor has a fire hazard and an explosion risk associated with it"
Wow. That's a frightening claim to anyone driving cars using such system in them vehicles (billions)!
I searched for citations in the article in order to discover reports of explosion of automotive gas tanks cause by fuel gauges -- found none.
Such claim must be followed by strong evidence, I'm sure!
Next I went to the top of the article to make sure I haven't missed any warning on imprecisions of the article.
Yes, the traditional "This article needs additional citations for verification." is there -- but I missed it because it's tiny and almost hidden -- compared to the one on Wikipedia. The small vertical bar before the text isn't even red (255, 0, 0).
I'm almost certain that it's not working as an important warning for most people!
Please don't get me wrong, I'll still continue to use Wikiwand in a daily basis -- so that's my suggestion: a warning that works as a real warning on the topic "needs additional citations".
Thanks
