Your article on Deforestation in the Roman Period is almost completely wrong. NO pollen evidence until the Mediaeval. Out of date
The myth of the deforestation of the Roman world is not supported by any evidence. This article is so completely out of date it is entirely misleading. No reference to carrying capacity of countries vs population; no idea about woods regenerating, or woodland management; no climate or geological evaluation; not even a proper examination of the written evidence, let alone the archaeological; there is no pollen evidence of real deforestation in the Med until the mediaeval period. Delete this article it is embarrassing you allow such out od date ideas to be aired (2006).. plse.
