On missing article pages, make the Wikipedia ‘Read’ and ‘Edit’ links work
When an article is missing on Wikipedia, Wikiwand makes it really hard to add it, blocking Wikipedia's built-in links for this.
If I don't find an article, often it is on Wikipedia but under a different name, so I want to add a redirect page for it, to help anybody else in future searching under that name.
On the original Wikipedia, the ‘no article with this name’ page has a link for creating an article with that name.
Wikiwand's equivalent page doesn't have such a link — which is fine; the ‘maybe you were looking for’ list is fantastic, and is what often makes me realize the article I wand is there, under a different name.
But I still want to create it on Wikipedia. So I try the Wikipedia menu and choose ‘Read on Wikipedia’, but that menu item isn't linked to anything: for articles it goes to the equivalent Wikipedia page, but for non-articles it doesn't do anything.
Same for the ‘Edit’ link: for non-articles, it doesn't do anything, rather than going to the Wikipedia page for editing (in this case, creating) the article.
The only workaround I've found is to view a different article on Wikiwand, then tell Wikiwand I want to edit that one, then manually hack the URL in the browser to change the article title from the random one I was on to the one I want to create. Obviously that's a far worse experience than I had before I installed Wikiwand!
