Serve pages over HTTPS
Please add an option or permanently alter the site/extension so that pages are served securely over HTTPS.
You should consider making it harder for government or private entities to intercept, track and profile the browsing history of people trying to educate themselves, which can be a major concern for visitors from some less democratic countries.
Thank you.
39 votesHTTPS is now enabled in Wikiwand – you can browser to any article using HTTPS!
Chrome Extension users are automatically redirected to read the article using HTTPS when arriving from an HTTPS website (such as Google Search). -
Transparent search bar
I also suggest in addition to show it on hover even on the top, to make the search bar completely transparent, it will give a more classy appearance IMO, maybe it can also be thinner.
The transparency idea can maybe be considered for the left summary column. Something more light and aerial.7 votesWe removed the search bar from the toolbar, now there’s a small search button instead. When you click it, you’ll get a full-screen search with a semi-transparent background. Hope you will like it :)

Include easy access to the talk pages.
I use talk pages frequently to understand controversy on contentious subjects.
(Also, they are very entertaining sometimes. I recommend reading the talk page for the "Oxford Comma" to see some of the best articulated trolling on the internet)

Disable social features
The new social, 'share' and 'news' features distract from the articles - if I was to share something on Twitter, FB or otherwise, I would use other means.
19 votesWe have recently disabled the news feature in article pages.
We still keep the “share” button for articles, though, since many users use it and it’s widely common in any modern app.

Disable Cover Image
The large cover image on some articles makes scrolling really laggy when compared to articles that don't have a cover image. I think this is due to the hardware-acceleration of scrolling in OS X, but it'd be great if we could disable cover images on all articles (this'd also help load times drastically).
I tried blocking it using a custom adblock filter but the cover_image div has the CSS to offset the content below it, so if you block the image it cuts off the title and first paragraph of the article.
Other than that WikiWand is fab!
12 votesDisabling the cover photo is now possible!
Please click the cogwheel in the toolbar and choose the “Minimal” theme. -

Hiding search bar
It would be nice IMO, if we could have a hidden search bar unless we hover the mouse over it. maybe with a small option to keep it visible if we need or prefer, I think that it is too visible on the page. Thx,

Put most commonly used languages on top
It looks like it's always the same languages on top, and then you can click 'more languages' to choose between all languages.
But most users have a specific subset of languages which they care about (common case being their mother tongue + english).1 voteYou can now customize your favorite languages in Wikiwand!

Firefox: Ctrl/Cmd+Click opens Wikiwand in a new tab AND current tab
Using WikiWand in Firefox on an MacBook, if I cmd-click to open an Wikipedia link in a new tab, WikiWand does this but ALSO opens the link in the current tab half a second later
13 votesWe’ve just released a new version of our Firefox extension that solves the Ctrl+Click bug.
Please remove your existing Wikiwand addon from Firefox and install the latest version here:

Colour-coded graph legend
With coloured maps and graphs, Wikipedia has a legend that shows how each colour corresponds to a certain data point or value. Wikiwand is missing the colours associated with the values. For example, take a look at the map legend on the Microeconomics page.
9 votesFixed.
Legends should now display properly when clicking an image → clicking (i) in the gallery -
Ctrl+clicking a link in Firefox opens in current tab as well
Clicking on a result on google opens two tabs with the same wikiwand content (Firefox 31-Windows 7)

Talk & History Pages display option
Although not very popular, I'm someone who actually uses the Talk Pages to gain more information on an article, which btw is one of the best hidden secrets on the web. Also, I sometimes use the History page for further context. I'd like to see an option to display links to both the Talk & History pages, instead of having to revert to the old wiki style in order to access them.
14 votesWe’re glad to announce that Talk and History pages, as well as other functions, are now available through the new “W” icon in the toolbar.

Fix iOS Safari Crashes
I find WikiWand slow and crashy on mobile Safari. When I load a moderately long article, like Bill Gates, it is slow loading, and about 50% of the time it crashes the page/browser (which I see rarely happen on other sites). On my Android Nexus 7 tablet, Wiki Wand works much better. My Device: iPhone 4S; iOS 8.
3 votesWe improved iOS/Safari performance vastly in the past month. Does it work better now?

Choosing "Cover photo" for the article.
For now, there is only an option to "report" the cover photo (the big one in the header) as unsuitable or disturbing. Perhaps, there should be an option to choose the cover photo from those related to the article by means of voting, or otherwise.
3 votesIt is not possible to suggest a cover photo. Click any image to open the gallery, then click the “pin” icon in the top-left corner.
